When we 1st
put it out (January 14th 2009) some people thought that we were crazy for even putting
Stanza's name in the same sentence of Andre 3000. Please don't get
our intentions misconstrued, we have the utmost respect for the work
and legacy that Andre 3000 has set forth in his career. However we
feel that Hip Hop is a competitive art form and competition makes or
breaks greats. Was Allen Iverson being disrespectful to Michael
Jordan when he broke his ankles when he came into the league? No they we competing to
be winners. Plus we want to challenge more emcees to strive for
artistic greatness and not just a hit record.

This competition doesn't get any easier. I'm rewinding these verses
back to back listening to everything being said, how its being said
and what meaning I keep getting after each listen. 3 Stacks comes in
with a nice flow bouncing to the track. The first half of his verse
was hot the way he shouted out ATL projects then compared his sex game
to the drug game but when he switched gears half way to tell us his
hood economic stimulus plan it kind of lost me.
"But she keep comin back three stacks must be some crack, Put that
pipe in her lap, she ain't know how to act, Now that I've got your
undivided attention I'm Gonna say this and run under condition one,
Promise me you gon' stack, promise me you gon' , Promise me you'll
invest three fourths of it all
For what? So your kids, kids, kids can have some cheese Can't get with
it? Get get get get get on your knees" Andre 3000 "Holywood Divorce"
I think Stanza comes back strong in his verse of clever social
commentary mixing politics, pop and street culture all in one.
"The South Side made me, raised up crazy, they say its the sign of the
times but I was brought up in the 80's, so I felt a touch from
Reagan, and took two puff of Bush and now I'm wasted, now I'm caught
in the Matrix, but the Neyo in my world sangs songs, so who's gonna
save us from the Black Dawn, Black history month they ain't gonna get
it cuz the blacks gone, A Black Don might get it, that mafucka now
runs my city, along with it comes some nigga with his rims spinning,
getting money but he dumb spending" - Stanza "Live from the 3rd Lane"
